Process

Drying naturally preserves the food by removing water from the surface of the food using hot air. The combination of air flow, air temperature, and air humidity lowers the moisture content within the food to an acceptable level to provide good control of microbiology and give the dehydrated products long shelf life without preservatives.

Our post-harvest processing steps include washing, cleaning, steam sterilisation, colour sorting, manual sorting, sieving, cutting, static electricity, X-ray and metal detection based on the principles of hurdle technology.
